Classical music lovers are invited to Saint-Étienne Church in Beauvais on 19 September at 8:00 pm for a special concert by the Poldowski String Quartet, featuring musicians from the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Founded in 2022, the Poldowski String Quartet brings together four passionate musicians: Marta Piorkowka, Agata Krystek, Mateusz Blaszczak and Damian Kulakowki.

All four are members of the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra and, since forming the quartet, have developed an increasingly active concert programme both in Poland and abroad.

The Poldowski String Quartet has performed internationally, including concerts in Xiamen, China, and Hong Kong. The four musicians also performed in France this summer as part of a tour during the Festival d’Auvergne.

This concert offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of the string quartet, one of classical music’s most iconic ensembles, combining two violins, a viola and a cello.

In the remarkable setting of Saint-Étienne Church in Beauvais, the Poldowski String Quartet will perform works by three major composers:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Karol Szymanowski and Felix Mendelssohn.

Three distinctive musical worlds will come together in a programme showcasing the expressive range and many facets of the string quartet.
