:!: ❗ Cathedral Roof Restoration Work: Temporary Closure of the Nave and Crossing
As part of the extensive roof restoration project of the cathedral, a new phase of work is about to begin, requiring the temporary closure of the nave and crossing areas.
This measure is essential for safety reasons, as it involves the installation of a fire-resistant ceiling above the wooden vaults located in these sections.

Public Closure Periods
The work will take place according to the following schedule:
- From November 17 to December 19, 2025 (weeks 47 to 51)
- From January 5 to January 30, 2026 (weeks 2 to 5)
➡️ During these periods, PRM (persons with reduced mobility) access to the cathedral will not be possible.
➡️ The nave and crossing will be closed to the public for safety reasons related to the construction work.
Temporary Reopening During the Holidays
Good news: the area will be reopened to the public during the Christmas holidays, i.e. during weeks 52 and 1, corresponding to the construction companies’ holiday period.
